THE TAVERN IS ABOUT TO OPEN
Take a seat, patrons: the kitchen is bubbling! Aim for the most intoxicating drinks while dodging watered-down flasks and suspicious dishes. Snatch the finest toasts served at the counter and leave the others sipping the bottom of the barrel!
Pints and Pennies mixes the lightheartedness of a drink among friends with the elegance of calculated decisions. Every hand is a small battle for honor (and for the best brew).
The dealer shuffles the deck and deals the cards, then passes the talon to the player on their right, who will lead the next hand. Before playing, everyone offers a face-down card to the player on their left, placing it in front of them.
Play clockwise, capturing combinations where coins and drinks match in value. If you have a facedown card in front of you, reveal the offered card before the one you decided to play!
Once the deck runs out, tally the points and grumble at whoever handed you the Sewer Brew while they gulp down the Dwarven Pints in your honor!
Playtests are underway and we're gathering feedback on pacing, balance, and the flavor of the challenge. The bravest patrons are already leaving their mark on the tavern tables.
